F.A.C.T., Farming Alachua County Together
We invite you to join us while we build a stronger farming future. We are the first regional organization of farmers in rural Eastern Alachua County. We are joining together to ensure we have a voice on all issues affecting small farms and rural farmland families in our region. The many farms of Eastern Alachua County are more than a rural way of life, they produce year-round and depend on the support of our leaders to continue farming and feeding our community. Your voice matters and we are committed to ensuring you are heard and represented.
As Florida continues rapid population growth, the interests of farms and farmers tend to be overlooked or ignored in the process that focuses on cities and urban concerns. F.A.C.T. ensures that agriculture, planning, and land-use decisions support farmlands and historical rural communities that can be overlooked and overtaxed to support urban demands.
Our members are actively building the foundations of this first-of-a-kind Eastern Alachua County farming organization, connecting with community stakeholders and local representatives. We invite you to share our mission with friends, family, and neighbors. We also welcome your input. Please reach out regarding any issues that could impact the well-being or stability of our communities in Eastern Alachua County.
